HOW WE FIT IN THE HIERARCHY OF CANADIAN HOCKEY

HOCKEY CANADA

Hockey Canada is the governing body overseeing all aspects of ice hockey in Canada.

THE ONTARIO HOCKEY FEDERATION (OHF) 

The OHF is one of three Ontario Branches of the Hockey Canada. It is by far the largest.

The OHF has seven member partners: 

GREATER TORONTO HOCKEY LEAGUE (GTHL) 
MINOR HOCKEY ALLIANCE OF ONTARIO (ALLIANCE) 
NORTHERN ONTARIO HOCKEY ASSOCIATION (NOHA) 
ONTARIO HOCKEY ASSOCIATION (OHA) 
ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE (OHL) 
ONTARIO MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION (OMHA) 
ONTARIO WOMEN`S HOCKEY ASSOCIATION (OWHA) 

Four of these associations deliver boys minor hockey. 

The champions in certain age groups face off in the OHF Championships in mid-April each year.

The Lambton Junior Sting are a member of the ALLIANCE and are eligible to compete for the OHF Championships.

HOME: Black, trimmed with white and yellow. Features the Sting logo.

AWAY:
 White, trimmed with yellow and black. Features the Sting logo. 



Lambton AAA Hockey Mission Statement

 

 

  • To provide a positive and competitive minor hockey development program.
  • To put the healthy personal development of each player at the forefront.
  • To enhance the positive values of hockey by providing coaching role models who demonstrate leadership, strong work ethic, and community pride with the goal of developing strong future leaders based on their example.
  • To support coaches, officials, and volunteers by providing ongoing training and access to information.
  • To support the mandate of Hockey Canada and work with other hockey centres, Alliance Hockey and the Ontario Hockey Federation to promote and grow minor hockey in Lambton County.
