’95 Lambton Sing open Series with Shut Out Win

Coming off a 3 game sweep of the defending Alliance Champions, the ’95 Lambton Sting defeated 1st place Sun County 3 – 0 in the opening game of their best of 5 Quarter Final Series, in Essex Friday night.
John Boric was sensational between the pipes garnering the shut-out. Jeff Sit’s power play goal from Ben Morrison opened the scoring for the Sting in the first period. Nick Sproviero opened the lead to two, with a breakaway goal in the second, from Mitch DeRush-Pageau and Ryan Frizzell. Kirk Dorman sealed the deal with an empty net shorthanded goal with 11 seconds left. Chad Beauchamp drew the assist.
The boy’s are right back at it on Saturday Jan. 30 for game 2 at the SSEC 2:00 PM.
