Sting pick up 3 of 4 points!
The Lambton Jr Sting started its first series vs the Windsor Jr Spitfires on Saturday night down in Windsor. Blake Hull scored his first of the season while Carson Perry jammed in a wrap around attempt with 2 minutes left to tie the game at 2-2.  Overtime solved nothing so the game was left at 2-2, with each team gaining 1 point.

Game 2 was on Sunday afternoon at the Progressive Auto Sale Arena and the Sting did not disappoint. Nolan Degurse started the scoring at 1128 of the first period to take a 1-0 lead into the second. Cameron Ware and Spencer Vandenboom gave the Sting a 3-0 lead early in the second period. Windsor would sneak one back before going to the flood.  The third period seen a hard nosed fight between two teams desperate to win; but it was the lack of discipline on the Spitfires side that put the Sting on a 5-3 advantage midway through which would allow Vandenboom to score his second of the game and put the Sting up 4-1. A shout out has to go to Cameron Ware who agitated every Spitfire but kept his cool drawing not one but both penalties to put the Sting on the 5-3 for two full minutes.  Windsor snuck another goal at the end of the period to have a 4-2 finish.

The Sting now lead a first to 6 points series; 3 points to 1.  A lot of hockey left to be played and after the first two games, this series is sure to be a fight to the end!  Go Sting Go!
