Major Midget
The Lambton Jr. Sting Major Midget team would like to invite you to our 2014/2015 tryouts.
The goal of the midget team is to give players the opportunity to experience a semi-pro atmosphere.
The Midget team plays at the RBC Centre in Sarnia Ontario and share the same ice pad as the Sarnia Sting OHL team.
Parents and fans are able to watch the major midget games at the Bee Hive restaurant/bar located inside the arena overlooking the ice pad.
The Midget team also enjoys the benefit of their own locker room, equipped with a big screen TV, their own lockers and storage for their equipment. This allows the team to come early to mentally prepare for the games and practices, discuss game plans, and to bond.
The team will be taking part in fitness testing throughout the season, run by the OHL training staff. Players will also have the opportunity to practice with area Junior B teams and the Sarnia Sting OHL team. We play in tournaments that offer not only great exposure to OHL scouts but also opportunities to U.S. colleges and universities.
One objective this year is to travel to our away games using the Sting OHL coach bus. Due to subsidised funding we are able to offer this unique experience at a very affordable cost (This will actually be the cheapest AAA season you have ever had)! We are composed of a team of non-parent coaches with over 25 years of experience including Junior B & C.
We are very excited about the coming year and hope you will join us for tryouts starting Sept 4th.
