Minor Midgets End Waterloo's 10 Game Streak!
The Lambton Sting Minor Midget AAA team defeated the Waterloo Wolves 3-2 on Saturday, November 21 in Waterloo, abruptly ending the Wolves' 8 game winning and 10
game without a loss streak in regular season play.
This was the second time the two teams faced off, the Sting taking the first battle 4-2 at home on Sept 20.
It was a solid team effort starting with goaltender Jakob Knowles, supported by excellent 5 man defensive play in the Neutral & Defensive zones and supported by 3 very nice goals:
1- Scored by Hayden MacDonald, assist Josh Vale
2- Scored by Joey Ferrera, assist Cameron Rombouts
3- Scored by Nolan Farr, assists Greg Hay and Lucas Knowles
Waterloo is in 2nd place (13-3-3) and the Sting are now tied for 7th place with an 8-9-1 record.
