safeTALK Sessions for All Lambton AAA Team Staffs and Exec
Lambton AAA Association is presenting safeTALK sessions for all team staffs. It is expected that all attend.
Suicide is a significant public health concern shrouded by stigma and
shame. safeTALK is a training in ‘suicide alertness’ that
prepares anyone over the age of 15 to identify persons with thoughts of
suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. safeTALK is an
internationally recognized workshop.
Two safeTALK sessions have been scheduled to accommodate team practices schedules as follows:
Thursday December 3
Minor Atom
Major Atom
Minor Peewee
Minor Midget
Exec Members
Wednesday December 9
Major Peewee
Minor Bantam
Major Midget
Executive Members
The sessions start at 6:00 pm in the lower hall at Clearwater arena. The sessions are expected to last no more than 2.5 hours - the AAA Association is picking up all costs.
