Name:  Alec Dekoning
Current/Last team played for: Sarnia Legionnaires 2017-2018 GOJHL
Years Played in Lambton (eg: 2008-2012):  2007-2014

1. What was your favourite minor hockey memory? My favourite minor hockey memory is making it to the alliance finals against a very good London Jr Knights team and taking them to game 7. Also enjoyed all of the tournaments and hanging out with the boys

2. Greatest accomplishment in Jr Hockey? My greatest accomplishment in junior hockey was being selected to be the assistant captain for my second and third year with the Sarnia Legionnaires

 3. When you played for Lambton, who was your favourite Sting player? Growing up, my favourite player to watch on the Sting was Steven Stamkos. I admired his work ethic and definitely his shot.

 4. What one thing did you learn in Minor hockey that helped you get to the next level?  I learned that one bad shift or one bad game don’t shape you as a player, if it happens, you’ve got to be that much better the next shift or game to make up for it.

 5. What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?  I hope to become a customs officer and also stay involved in hockey through coaching.
