Road to Minor Bantam AAA Alliance Championships begins this weekend
The Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Bantams have been on quite a journey as they have scratched and clawed their way to the ALLIANCE FINALS.  The Tom Babcock coached squad, finished 4th in the West Division earning a first round match up against the defending OHF Champions- Sun County Panthers. The Sting battled to win the David vs Goliath 6pt series in 5 games.

As a reward for winning the 1st Round, the Sting crossed over to play the Top Team in the East which happened to be the Top Ranked team in the Alliance, the Waterloo Wolves.  Not to be intimidated, the Sting strapped on their work boots and went to work determined to EARN IT.  Falling behind 4pts to none, the Minor Bantam squad were facing elimination.  With backs against the wall, the boys battled back forcing a tie in overtime, bringing game 4 back to Lambton down 5pts to 1, but still alive.  Game 4 was a well played victory on home ice and Game 5 was a thrilling overtime win in Waterloo forcing a 6th and deciding game back at PASA 2. Game 6, before a packed house,  did not disappoint and was a close game throughout the contest. As the final seconds ticked down, the boys earned a 3-2 win and punched their ticket to the Alliance Finals.
The Minor Bantams will square off against their 402 rivals, Elgin Chiefs in an 8pt series starting this weekend.  It is the first time in 6years that a Lambton Jr. Sting team has made the Alliance Championships.  Please come out and support the team as their quest for an Alliance Championship continues.
The team is ready to embark on their final mission. This team of young men have lived & breathed #EarnIt,  all season long. They have done nothing easy this year & the Finals will prove to the hockey world how talented this group is. Our version of the "Cardiac Kids".  Pack the Barn and get loud! The Minor Bantams are Rolling and we need you in the stands to get the barn Rockin!
