2019-2020 Major Bantam MVP Aaron Shanks
Choosing one single player as an MVP on a team full of kids that really truly would give you everything they had every time they stepped inside the arena is not an easy task because on any given night there literally is a handful of players from my team that could be called an MVP!!
My selection is Aaron Shanks and the reason that I chose Aaron is because for the past two years I’ve watched him give everything he had every game and every practice wasn’t always pretty I’m sure he’d be the first to tell you he should have scored more than he did! But for the last two years he was second in points and as a Coach standing on the bench no matter what situation came up in a game PP, PK, end of game with a lead end of a game needing a goal he was 99.99% of the time the first person in my mind that I knew we wanted on the ice because of there was a puck battle in a corner he’d be in there if a shot needed to be blocked he’d somehow get a piece of his body on it!! On a team full of kids that I have loved every second I got to spend with them, Shanksy is certainly one that I loved Coaching and is the type of player I hope to have on every team I coach in the future!!
