2020/21Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Hockey Update
As per the Alliance guidelines, the following is an update of our plan for Lambton Jr. Sting AAA hockey moving forward. Beginning September 1st, we will move to Stage 3B of the Ontario Hockey Federation's 'Return to Play' protocol.  All teams from U11 to U18, inclusive, will begin skill development sessions with their peers and our Lambton Jr Sting AAA 2020-21 Head Coaches, providing the players were on last season's LJS roster.

While our primary focus must be on the safe return to the ice, we have a unique opportunity to shift our focus to skills and development while still providing competition. Our current goal is delivering the best possible AAA experience while adhering to the directives set out by the Ontario Government, OHF, Alliance Hockey & Public Health Authorities.

As per the Ontario Hockey Federation & Alliance framework, we will return to hockey using the first of three different sessions. Participants will be required to re-register for each session. These time frames are designed to make any ‘on the-fly’ adjustments to the structure, logistically easier for change to be affected (move forward or back as the pandemic requires).

The first session will be broken down as follows…. (Registration is open – Please contact your coach and/or manager to confirm registration)

Session 1 -September 1st through October 31st– 8+ weeks

** Participants will be asked to sign up and pay a registration fee of $750 for the first session. This can be done in 1 or 2 payments(Sept 1 and Oct 1).

**AAA players are encouraged to register prior to August 31st.

Lambton Jr. Sting AAA is offering players the following:

·         Three 1.5-hour ice times per week (4.5 hours total per week)

·         These 3 ice timeswill likely consist of 2 practices and 1 game (4 on 4)

·         23 total ice times at 1.5 hours each (34.5 hours)

·         Player development sessions (Scott Jones and Sarnia Sting)

·         All current 2020/2021 AAA Coaching staffs

·         Alliance fees and Insurance included

Eligibility

The OHF and Alliance has stipulated the following regarding which players can register with LJS:

• Players who registered with Lambton in the 2019-20 Season. This includes F-1s

• AAA Players who are returning to their Home Association

• AAA Players who have moved to Lambton since the end of the 2019-20 Season

What happens in November or beyond is entirely in the hands of the Ontario Hockey Federation in concert with Alliance Hockey, the Ontario Ministry of Health and local heath units.  Once those decisions have been made, we will accelerate our programming to be at the leading edge of whatever can be offered.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
