ALLIANCE Playoffs - Lambton Jr Sting vs Kitchener Rangers
The Jr. Sting AAA Minor Atom's had their season ended Saturday afternoon coming out on the wrong end of a 3-2 score.

Lambton needed a win to extend the series to an eighth and deciding game but came up short and lost the series 9 pts to 5 to a very solid Kitchener Ranger squad.

The Jr. Sting came out sluggish and found themselves trailing 2-0 after one period.  Lambton made the score 2-1 when Jack Hackett scored a PP goal from Jared Pageau. The score was 2-1 entering the third period.

Jared Pageau tied the game with an unassisted short handed goal with eight minutes remaining. The Jr. Sting had carried the play for the 2nd and third period and had many chances to take the lead but could not find the back of the net. Kitchener then scored the game winner with 1:10 remaining to capture the Playoff Championship.

Ethan Hunt got the start in net and made some good saves before Emma McCormick started the 2nd period to try and spark the team and Emma played a good game keeping Lambton close.

The parents are very proud of the Jr. Sting team as they never quit and always represented Lambton with class.  The parents would like to thank the coaching staff for their effort and dedication this season.  Hope a great summer is had by all. See ya at the rink.
