The Jr Sting Atoms hosted the Brantford 99er's in recent action and unfortunately came out flat in their attempt to secure a 2-0 series lead.  Despite not firing on all cylinders the game remained close and wasn't decided until Brantford scored on a deflected shot a couple of minutes into overtime to take the game 2-1. Tyler Armitage was solid in net to keep the team in the game and the loan goal was scored on a power-play in the second period by Brock Perry, assisted by Isaac McLean and Alec Dekoning.

The following day the team took to the road to battle Brantford at the Gretzky complex in the important third game of the series.  The team's hunger had once again resurfaced and with an all around solid effort Lambton was able to take a 2-1 series lead with a 2-0 victory.

Kaden Fulcher was great in net particularly late in the game when the Jr Sting would be faced with killing off a 5-3 in the final minute-and-a-half of the game. The solid penalty killing combined with two power-play goals from Isaac McLean were the keys to victory. Assisting on McLean's goals were Dekoning, Perry and Jake Burnard.

The Jr Sting will welcome the 99er's to the SSEC on Thursday night with hopes of a solid effort and a well deserved League Playoff Championship.

The Lambton Atoms hosted the 99er's from Brantford in game 4 of the six point series. The local team held a 4-2 point advantage and could wrap up the series with a win on home ice. Unfortunately the visiting squad had other plans and were successful in forcing a game 5 back in Brantford after a 3-1 victory over the Sting.

The game got off to a fast start as both teams had their skating legs.  Lambton would score first just four minutes in on a nice passing play that saw Brock Perry convert the two-on-one from Franco Sproviero. Near the end of the period Brantford would tie the game on a power-play marker. The pace of play would slow significantly for the remainder of the game as the penalty floodgates opened and saw the teams rack up 18 and 16 minutes respectively over the final two periods.

Lambton could not find the back of the net and despite many chances, including three breakaways, would end up stuck at the one goal mark while Brantford was able to chip away and add two more to secure the victory. In what has been a 'road-team' series the Jr Sting will look to bring the hardware home from Brantford on Saturday night.

After failing in their chances to clinch the series at home the Jr Sting Atoms quickly made plans for a team bonding bus trip to Brantford on Saturday to battle the 99er's in game 5 of the playoff series.  Both teams came prepared and the game was a fast paced and intense match which saw the Sting boys battle through the adversity of the road game as well as some suspect refereeing to come out victorious with a final score of 3-1.

Neither squad would tally in the first period and it would soon be obvious that the visiting team would have to overcome more than just the 99er's to secure the win. With a never-ending parade to the Sting penalty box (Sting -24 minutes, Brantford-6 minutes) the team would keep it's cool, bury two short-handed and one power-play goal and get stellar goaltending from Kaden Fulcher to make for a celebratory bus trip home.  Scoring for Lambton were Colin Leyton, Jake Burnard and Brock Perry, all with singles. Assisting on the goals were Franco Sproviero with two and a single to Isaac McLean.
