Sting has great showing in Central Ontario Wolves Tournament.
The Minor Bantam hockey team battled hard in it's final tournament of the 2009/2010 season.
In round robin play our team Won 2, Lost 1 and Tied 1 placing them Third in overall points 1 1/2 points behind second place. Due to the tournament set up we found ourselves out of the play-off rounds as we watched a fourth and fifth place team advance to the semis with a fraction of the points that we had. I think the fifth place team advanced without earning a win. I know the boys were upset, but they need to hold their heads up high and be proud of the efforts as a team that was put forth. Cornel Felder and Cole Lauzon both had amazing efforts in the nets this past weekend and many of the players stepped up their games and showed great improvements. We had a few player's feeling under the weather and one player missing the tournament due to injury I was very Impressed with the heart felt efforts from this team over the past weekend and the last two months. We have found a way to outplay the teams that are of our Caliber and compete against some of Ontario highest ranking teams. Keep up the great work as playoffs begin this week starting off with Chatham on Wednesday.
