Sting all business in London
The Lambton Sting opened their round robin playoffs with a convinsing 5-0 win over the regular season champs the London Jr. Knights . The first period started off with each team playing a little tentative , but when coach Perry opened the doors for the second stanza the boys came out heck bent for leather.
Rolling 3 lines the Sting put on a constant barrage of pressure in the London end of the ice. Byron Monague-Ruzik opened the flood gates with a bullet drive low left post side. The next 2 goals were scored by the hard working Jarret Marks .The period finished with a nice scoring touch from Brock Perry. Jarret Marks completed his hat trick in the third to seal the game. Assist went out to Ruzik with 2, Ryan Greenaway with 2 , Ethon Dupont chipped in with a helper with single assist also going to Perry, and Marks . Franco Sproviero did not show up on the score sheet this game but played a great defensive game as did the rest of the team. The Knights did not produce many scoring chances , but when they did Anthony Hurtubise was a wall in between the pipes.
