Sting Tie Hamilton Reps
The Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Minor Atoms were on the road
in Hamilton on Saturday where they came out with a tie against the Hamilton
Reps 4 - 4.
Adam Mino was strong in net with his team behind him. The first period found the Sting down 1 – 0 but they fought back in the second and with Tyler Steeves putting one between the pipes with a pass from Nolan Rannie and then another finding the back of the net from Blake Butler with assists to Evan Wammes and Wil O’Leary-Dilosa, the Sting found themselves with a 2 – 2 tie at the end of the second period. The 3rd period was a back and forth battle with Nolan Rannie scoring first from Tyler Steeves and then the Hamilton Reps put one in tying the game at 3 – 3. Again, the Sting score, Ethan Kerby puts one in from Blake Butler to get the lead for the Sting. Unfortunately, they couldn’t hold the lead and the Hamilton Reps put one last goal in tying the game 4 – 4.
