Jr. Sting Finish Regular Season With A Win
The Major Atoms finished their regular season at home this weekend on a high note. The Jr. Sting edged out the West Division third place team Sun County Panthers 1-0.
Ethan Kerby, assisted by Blake Butler, notched the lone goal of the game four minutes into the first period of play. Despite several good scoring chances, neither team was able to find the back of the net. The lone penalty of the game put Sun County on a power play with only 2 minutes left in the game. Adam Mino was stellar in net fending off the Panther's last ditch effort to tie the game.
On Saturday, a sluggish looking team faced off against Chatham losing 3-0. The Jr. Sting welcomed first time AP player Hunter Seguin to the roster for the game.
