The Sting were in Komoka Tuesday night to take on the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs looking to extend their winning streak to 9 games and go 2-0 in the semi final round robin.
Elgin had different plans and beat the Sting by a 4-3 score.

Elgin opened the scoring with 4.7 seconds remaining in the first period on a PP.
Lambton tied it up on a goal from Caleb Adrian six minutes into period two, Josh Barraclough assisted on the goal. Noah Campbell gave Lambton the lead two minutes later as Nash Nienhuis picked up the assist. Lambton led 2-1 heading into the third.
The score remained 2-1 with just under 9 minutes left when Elgin tied the score, they took the lead three minutes later and went up 4-2 when they scored at 3:31. The Sting cut the lead to 4-3 at 1:13 when Josh Barraclough scored from Cameron Rannie.
