Season Ends With Tough Loss
The curtain finally came down on the Jr Sting season when they were eliminated in the Championship Sautrday at home by the Hamilton Huskies. The once again under manned squad lost 3-1(EN) to a well coached hockey team.
Congratulations to Hamilton on the victory as they are a class organization.

The Jr Sting led for much of the game on a goal by Max Steeves from Conner Royer and Nico Discanno.
Hamilton tied it in the third and then went ahead 2-1 quickly after that. Lambton ran out of gas in the third as 3 players were in the box for extended time putting a great deal of ice time to 4D and 7 F. Lambton pulled the goalie with a minute remaining but Hamilton iced the game with an empty netter.
Full credit to Hamilton once again on the win, but it would have been nice to ice a full squad during the playoffs.
I would like to give prop's to Jason Van Bommel and his family. Jason was injured in the first round of the playoffs vs Chatham and was unable to suit up again due to the injury. Instead of going away to lie on a beach somewhere Jason was at every game (home and away) and practice. His parent's never had to make this sacrifice but they did because Jason did not want to let his team down. Oh yea I almost forgot but the drive was from Ilderton.
The staff would like to thank Jason and his parent's for the dedication shown and it did not go unnoticed.

These young men improved greatly as the season unfolded and were playing some very good hockey the last half of the season.
A pleasure to coach such a great group.
Good Job Boys !!!
