Sting win a nail biter 2-0 !
The Lambton Jr. Sting Bantams rebounded from their lackluster performance friday and skated away with a hard fought 2-0 victory over the London Jr. Knights before a full house at the RBC rink #2 Sunday.
After the teams went scoreless in the first , rugged winger Ethan Dupont would put the Sting up 1-0 with a hard working goal in the second period with the assist going to Brett Barnes.
The Knights would respond with a constant barrage on the power plays in the second frame that the Sting were able to defend well.
Knowing the Knight would throw everything but the Kitchen sink at them in the third period , every Lambton player gave it their all until Eric Marsh would ice the game with an empty net goal with 2 seconds left . Assist going to Curtis Helps .
Rumor has it Kaden Fulcher was arrested after the game for robbing the London team of many scoring opportunities all day long on his way to a well deserved shutout.
Lambton is now ahead 5 points to 3 in the 8 point championship series, Game 5 will be played Wednesday in London with game 6 back in Sarnia Thursday at the RBC rink #2 7:30 pm.
