The Lambton Jr. Sting matched up against the East’s 1st
place team the Hamilton huskies, in a game filled with goals.
The boys came out with two quick goals followed by an onslaught of goals by a fast and determined Hamilton team. Before the boys knew what had happened the score was 7-3 at the end of the 2nd. Not giving up the Sting managed to fire 3 more into the back of the Hamilton net but in the end, Hamilton handed the Sting a hard fought 9-6 loss.

Lambton took to the ice against the 1st place team in the West, the Windsor Jr. Spitfires. The last meeting was a close affair with Windsor winning 4-3. This time, the Sting had something to prove and that is just what they did. After the 1st the boys had managed to put 2 on the score sheet, Windsor answered back with 2 of their own in the 2nd .The Sting found themselves in the penalty box, and before they could announce the 2nd Windsor goal the Jr Sting fired the first of three shorthanded goals and took back the lead 5-2. The 3rd opened up for the Sting and the boys took hold of the game with an 11-2 win.
“Road Trip”….. Lambton took the show on the road with the 1st meeting between the Waterloo Wolves in an impressive facility. The Sting took a page from the Windsor game and came out firing on all cylinders opening the scoring within the first 2 minutes of the game. Attention to the little things was working and the Lambton Jr. Sting powered by the wolves in the 2nd and finished the game with a “w” taking the match 9-3.
Strong play from all 3 lines and a tightly closed door in net, saw the Jr. Sting finish the week with two wins. Good Job Boys…….. Team First!!!!
