SUDBURY "BIG NICKEL"
 The Lambton Sting Major Bantams competed in the Sudbury Big Nickel on the weekend were they went 1-2-1. The TEAM was able to fit in a trip to the Nickel Mine and also took in a very entertaining Wolves game where the home team came away with a come from behind 4-3 victory.

The STING opened against highly ranked Eastern Ontario Wild (Thursday night) where they battled to a 4-0 defeat. The men played hard but just could not finish around the net. The games MVP belonged to Connor Royer.
   Game 2 on Friday Morning was against North Bay and District. The Sting held most of the play, with a slue of breakaways that they just could not capitalize on. The game went to an extra frame were North Bay scored in the last minute on there first shot of overtime. Final score 3-2 goal scorers were Matt Hunt and Nick Discanno... Games MVP was Nick Discanno.
   Game 3 was a must game versus Timmins and although the Team fought hard.... we came up short once again, as we sat in the Penalty box for most of the evening. Score was 4-0 and the games MVP was Kyle Brinacombe.
   The final game... Sting vs CIH Academy.... a team made up of players from all over the world. The Sting were very disciplined and worked extremely hard and came up with a goal late in the 3rd by Nick Discanno to go ahead and defeat the undefeated 3-0 CIH ACADEMY. Ethan Hunt was brilliant in net stopping a Penalty Shot late in the 3rd and the Games MVP belonged to Cameron Rannie.
   The Stings players that competed in the Sudbury Big Nickel Tourney; Ethan Hunt, Kyle Brinacombe, Ben Schoch (Co-Captain), Cade Robbins, Ryan Boyd, Nick Discanno, Aquila "U better keep your head up" Kaczanowski, Max Steeves (Co-Captain), Josh Barraclough,Tristan Sedlak, Fraser Wilson, Cameron Rannie, Connor Royer, Alex Cunningham, Matt Hunt, Dakota Manning.
  Next tournament for this group is Waterloo Gold Puck Dec. 13th-15th.
