Gold Puck Results
The Lambton Major Bantams competed in the Waterloo Gold Puck Tournament and came away with 1 win and 3 losses (2 games by 1 goal). The best game of the weekend was against the 3rd ranked Jr. Canadiens.

The game was 2-1 for most of the contest. The Bantams competed hard with 11 skaters and took this top ranked team to the 3rd period only down 3-1. Goaltending was unbelievable, our Forwards forced the play hard and Defence was steady and moved the puck well. Captain Schoch scored the only goal with a cannon from the point that picked the top corner. Kyle Brinacombe and Ethan Hunt were spectacular all weekend giving our team a chance to win each game. Ben Schoch, Ryan Boyd, Nick Discanno and Cade Robbins showed great stamina as they competed every other shift and passed the puck brilliantly in the four games over 2 days. Cameron Rannie, Connor Royer, Max Steeves, Alex (Skates) Cunningham, Matt Hunt, Tristan Sedlak, Fraser Wilson and Josh Barraclough forechecked hard all weekend and produced 12 goals over 4 games which is a 3 goal a game clip, which is above our yearly average. Missing this weekend were Dakota Manning (Flu) and Aquila Kaczanowski (I.R.) We look forward to the Toronto Marlie Tourney after Christmas were there are 55 teams competing for top prize. Playoffs are only a few weeks away as this team has the desire to focus on the trust needed to win every night.       GO STING!!!!
