2014-2015 Major Atom Tryouts
Welcome all 2004 Players and Parents! Please be sure to check the website often for tryout information, updates, exhibition game additions and schedule changes.
Players who missed tryout #1 are still more than welcome to attend the next 2 tryout skates. It my intention to ensure all participants are given at least 3 tryout skates.
Please remember these are AAA Tryouts and my expectation is that all players give their best effort at all times. During tryouts my focus is on evaluating the skills and atributes each player brings to "their tryout." I will not be encouraging players to try harder or give a better effort. Once players are selected my job shifts from evaluating to developing where my focus becomes improving, refining and teaching new skills.
During these tryouts I am tasked with selecting a group of players to become the 2014-2015 Lambton Jr. Sting Major Atom AAA team. I will not be the only one evaluating players on the ice, in fact, I have many experienced hockey eyes watching these tryouts providing me with detailed and structured feedback. That said, ultimately the final decisions will lie with me.
