Lambton Jr. Sting Major Atom Start Season on Positive Note
The Lambton
Jr. Sting AAA Major Atom team kicked off their 2015-16 Regular Season with
games versus Windsor and Sun County on Sunday and came out with a couple of
ties.
In Game one the Sting trailed the
Jr. Spitfires by a score of 3-1 but the Sting pulled their goalie and went with
6 skaters and scored goals at the 2:31 marker and again at the 1:21 mark. The boys battled hard in earning the single
point
Carter La Rocque was strong in goal for the tie. Scoring for the Sting were Isaac Oliphant, Aaron Shanks and Adam Osler. Assists went to Logan O’Leary Dilosa, Osler, Garret Pearce, Jace McGrail, Ryan Pageau and Jaxon Priddle.
The afternoon affair had the Sting tying the highly rated Sun County Panthers in a see-saw 5-5 affair. Despite allowing 5 goals, Caiden Smit made several key saves in earning the tie.
Scoring for the Sting were Aaron Shanks with two, Tanner Winegard, Jaxon Priddle and Adam Osler. Assists went to Pageau x2, Priddle, Smit, Shanks, Adam Maitland, Winegard Garrett Pearce and Oliphant.
The Sting are off to Detroit for the world renowned HoneyBake Invitational this upcoming weekend.
