Minor Peewees Open The Preseason Strong!
The Lambton Minor Peewee's opened their 2015-2016 Preseason this week going 2-1 against Victory Honda and Compuware USA in games played Monday, Saturday and Sunday.

Lambton opened the week on the road and came away with a 2-1 victory against Victory Honda. New Comer's Ty Moffat and Cameron Hachey played great in their first taste of AAA hockey and new goalie John Chartrand was stellar closing the door in his first AAA game allowing no goals against in 23 minutes of game play. The Lambton attack was lead by Anthony Tudino who tallied both Sting goals.

Game 2 saw the Jr. Sting battle back from a 4-1 first period deficit against Compuware USA to close to within one goal, taking their first loss 6-5.  Brett Vince led Lambton scorer's with 2 goals, with singles going to Landen Hookey, Landon Marcy and Quinton Johnston.  A balanced attack from the defense out allowed Lambton to close the gap and nearly pull out a tie late in the 3rd period.

Finishing the weekend out the Jr. Sting hosted Victory Honda at the RBC Centre Sunday afternoon and jumped out to a 1st Period lead on a goal from new team Captain Josh Hoover.  Goalies Elijah Grant and Chartrand stood tall in turning away all but one shot before the Lambton offence could kick it in to high gear.  The power play would click twice with goals from Marcy and Nolan Cadieux in the 2nd and 3rd periods.  Quinton Johnston would cap off a 4-1 win with his 2nd of the preseason.  Strong defense and a commitment to a team game were keys to success.
