1st Exhibition Game is in the Books
The Lambton Jr Sting Major PeeWee's played their first exhibition game of the season and came away with a hard fought 5-4 victory at the SSEC. Goal Scorers were Austin Harper with a pair, Lachlan Stewart, Nathan Lavender and Jeff Power with the game winner with under 30 seconds to play.
Liam Goetz started in the first period and came away with a stellar performance not allowing a goal. Defence moved the puck well under the Macomb Mavericks forecheck pressure and the forewards worked hard to get pucks to the net on the Macombs goaltenders.
The Lambton Jr Sting visit the Mavericks Saturday 8:30Am as the tryout to fill the 17 positions continues.
The team faces the first player releases this weekend. The list of remaining players will be uploaded to the AAA site on Sunday. These 23 remaining players will be invited back to the April 20th practice 5:30-7pm SSEC.
