Minor Midgets bring home silver
This past weekend was the annual Waterloo Wolves Gold Puck tournament in Waterloo.
On Friday afternoon the Boys faced York Simcoe Express and walked away with a 5-3 WIN.  Friday evening was a battle against Mt Lebanon Hornets from Pennsylvania resulting in a 2-1 WIN.


We played two games on Saturday first was North Bay Trappers resulting in a 4-3 WIN and later that day Sudbury Wolves  5-0 WIN, Ethan Everaert with the shutout! We haven't been able to say this in awhile.. but hey everyone!! we're playing on Sunday!! Semi final game Sunday morning we faced Mississauga Sens, which ended in a 2-1 WIN. Which takes us to the finals at 4:30. We had to wait patiently to see who we played, Chatham or Burlington. Burlington Eagles it is.
Two of our players were in the top ten for tournament points leaders,  Austin Harper was second with five goals and 11 points in six games, while Landen Hookey was tied for third with five goals and nine points.
The Boys battled as hard as they could, it just wasn't meant to be. The Waterloo Golf Puck is a very hard tournament to win and these Boys should be very proud of their accomplishment!  I know I can speak for all the parents and coaches and say that we are all very proud of them!!
