Sting u18's Split Pair of Weekend Games
The u18 Squad are playing some good hockey and are in every game right til the end.  A few adjustments were made after letting a game slip away late in the third on Saturday in Elgin and the boys rebounded and turned in a fine performance Sunday in London to grab a 4-3 win.

Saturday in Elgin, saw the boys battle hard but fell behind 2-0.  One thing is for sure, the boys do not quit and they strap on their workboots and get to work every game.  A goal by Colton Graham assisted by Tyler June and Will Hull got the Sting within one and gave the team some momentum.    The game was tight checking and both sides had a few good scoring chances.  Goalie John Chartrand was his usual solid self keeping the Sting in the game and giving them a chance to win.    Heading to the last 5minutes of the third period, Lambton ended up taking a penalty which resulted in a Chiefs goal to open up a 3to1 lead.  Elgin would score another in the final minute and half to seal the victory at 4to1.

On Sunday, Lambton skated into the Western Fair Arena to play a London Knights team that was looking to avenge a 4to3 loss from a week earlier in Sarnia.  The game started out with Lambton having numerous glorious chances to score only to be denied.  Sting forward Nathan Williams would score his first of the season to get Lambton on the board with an unassisted shorthanded marker midway through the first.  Sting up 1-0.   Shortly after, Colton Graham finished off a passing play from u16 AP Player Jaden Arnold to put the Sting up 2-0.

Ben Church assisted by Colton Graham and Anthony Tudion from Luke DesRoches scored twice in the second frame to put Lambton up 4to2 after two periods.   In the third period, Lambton implemented a 1-2-2 forecheck which hemmed the Knights in.  London would score once more to make it close but that would be as close as they would come as the Sting skated home with a 4to3 victory.  Joe Malinowski was busy in the Sting net and was solid when needed to seal the victory for the Sting.

Next up is Friday in Stratford vs Huron Perth and a trip to Waterloo on Saturday.

We wish Coach Hare all the best as he battles some health issues and is away from the team.
