LJS Coach's Corner: U12 Coaching Staff
Let's get to know our U12 Coaching Staff a little better...

Breydan Belan

Breyden is certified by Hockey Canada, holding High Development 1 Certification, and has earned over 25 professional development points since 2015. His experience and knowledge has been acquired over his 30+ years in the game of hockey, playing AAA minor hockey to Junior C, Junior B and into Senior A.

Along the way Breyden has been guided by many coaches who have shaped his philosophy and approach towards players into his own coaching values.  With his years of playing competitive hockey ending he wanted to continue to be around the competitive atmosphere. For the past six years he has been coaching youth hockey from atom to bantam age. Most recently Breydan assisted with the 2008 Lambton Junior Sting team.

Passion for the game still runs deep within Breyden, but he has found a new form of competition. Coaching, developing growth, achieving success and having someone else discover their own achievements is what motivates Breyden.

Breyden’s favourite hockey team is the Detroit Red Wings; naturally he has developed a dislike for all Maple Leaf fans.

Breyden’s favourite quote: “if you can’t outplay them, out work them.”

Brandi Warner

Brandi was born and raised in Petrolia, Ontario. She played minor hockey with the boys Petrolia Oilers before switching over to girls with the Bluewater Hawks. She then went on to finish two seasons of PWHL with the London Devilettes Jrs. Brandi received a scholarship to the University of New Brunswick (CIS- USPORT).

After graduation she moved into coaching, completing her Hockey Canada High Performance Level 1 Coaching Certification and Level 2 Trainer Certification. She has spent the past eight seasons developing elite skills and coaching many age groups including boys Atom (U-11) AAA (Alliance) to most recently spending the past three seasons as the head coach of the Bluewater Hawks Junior team (U-22-PWHL). She has worked with the Barnburner Hockey Academy for the Spring 2022 season alongside professional players Brittany Howard and Kassidy Sauve.

Jason Tedball

Jason began coaching in 2017; last season he was a part of the coaching staff for the Sarnia Jr. Sting Minor Bantam MD team that won a provincial championship. He has spent significant time in school prior to starting to coach, amassing a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Bachelors of Education and Masters in Health and Human Performance. He has also completed a Sports and Recreation Administration diploma from Lambton College.

Jason grew up playing hockey at various levels in Sarnia. He has been a part of great teams and coaching staff that faced a lot of adversity but still were able to come together to win provincial championships. He valued the opportunity to grow and develop with these teams and colleagues throughout the seasons.

Jason's favourite hockey team is the Montreal Canadiens.

His favourite quote is: "The legs feed the wolf." - Herb Brooks

Jason presently works as a Teacher with Lambton Kent District School Board and privately as a Certified Personal Trainer.
