Jeff Perry - Lambton AAA Coaches' Mentor

Jeff's Hockey Biography

Jeff was born and raised in Sarnia and played AAA through the Sarnia system.  He was drafted 33rd overall by the Guelph Platers OHL team in 1988.  He was again drafted 113th overall in 1991 by the Toronto Maple Leafs and traded to Calgary Flames in 1993.  He spent six seasons playing and coaching in their system.  He was a professional & amateur scout for the Minnesota Wild NHL for two seasons.

Jeff became Head Coach of the Sarnia Sting OHL and currently holds the record for most wins in a single season (41)!  The team won their only division title following the year of their (41) win season.  Later, Jeff became Associate Coach London Knights for three seasons including for the Memorial Cup win in 2005.

Jeff has coached our Lambton AAA 1998 birth team for 7 seasons the highlight of which was their Alliance finalist finish in 2012.  Three players he coached were drafted into the OHL and one is currently looking to sign as a free agent.

Jeff has been doing Hockey Camps for close to 20 years.  The Globe and Mail had an article in 2013 top camps in Ontario and Jeff’s camp was rated one of the top camps in Southwestern Ontario!  Amazingly, Jeff finds the time to be the owner operator of Perry’s Wild 3 on 3 Hockey League currently in its ninth season with over 250 kids participating annually.
