Lambton Jr Sting Minor PeeWee's Battled Elite Field in Chicago
The Jr Sting squad recently competed in the the Bauer International Tournament in Chicago and took on four US squads ranked in the top 12 in their country.

Game 1 of the tournament saw the Jr Sting up against #7 ranked Wisconsin Fire and local team put up a good effort, finally falling by a score of 4-1 (including an empty net marker). After a scoreless first period, the Lambton team opened the scoring with a goal by Jarett Marks, assisted by Colin Leyten early in the second period. After that all the scoring was done by the Fire despite a solid team effort and some great goaltending by Kaden Fulcher.
Game 2 saw the Jr Sting matched up against the #12 nationally ranked New Jersey Rockets. In a good defensive game the local squad were able to come away with a 2-1 victory over their speedy opponents. Hitting the scoresheet for Lambton were Jake Burnard and Marks, with assists earned by Leyten, Isaac McLean and Franco Sproviero. Jake Wilkins got the call in net and was solid in securing the victory.
The third game of the tournament would call for an early wakeup and a date with the top ranked team, the St Louis Jr Blues. After hanging out in the lobby with their competition the Jr Sting made their way to the arena and put up a good effort, depite a final score of 6-0 for the Jr Blues. Offensively the Blues team was too strong and despite a phenomenal effort from Fulcher in net, the Jr Sting could not muster much pressure against a very good team.
The final game of the weekend for the local squad would be a tough test against the sixth ranked Honeybaked squad from the Detroit area. With Honeybaked playing their first game of the day and having their own skatesharpening machine set up outside their dressing room it was a bad sign of things to come as they were able to dominate the Jr Sting and cruise to a 9-0 victory.  Despite being out of gas the Lambton team continued to compete and put in a quality showing at a very top end tournament.
