Lambton Jr Sting Minor PeeWee's Complete a Third Period Comeback to Top Elgin 5-3
The Jr Sting squad put in a strong team effort on the road to top division rival Elgin Middlesex Chiefs in the chilly confines of the Glencoe arena.

With good ice beneath their feet and a strong drive to recover from their last outing the Jr Sting team played with intensity and passion that lead them to the exciting comeback. After falling behind near the mid-point of the first period the Jr Sting would answer back less than two minutes later on a goal by Jarett Marks, assisted by Colin Leyten and Brett Barnes.
Period two would see both teams continue to battle hard, but after the Chiefs second consecutive goal on a lucky break the Lambton team would answer with one of their own to pull the game to 3-2 going into the final frame. The second goal, on a well controlled power play, was scored by Isaac McLean, assisted by Brock Perry and Leyten.
The final period was filled with great goaltending, intensity, trips to the penalty box and three goals: all by the Jr Sting. Getting things started with eight minutes to play was Perry with an unassisted marker. Just over a minute later Ethan Dupont would bury the go-ahead tally after some hard forechecking, assisted by Marks. After surviving some Elgin pressure, the Jr Sting would get some breathing room thanks to a nice goal by Patrick Wright, assisted by Morgan Halcovitch. The final three minutes were filled with excitement as the home team battled to mount their own comeback, but the hard working skaters and Jake Wilkins timely saves preserved the win.
