Lambton Minor PeeWee's Compete in Whitby International Silverstick
The Jr Sting Minor PeeWee's hit the road this past weekend to compete in the International SilverStick Invitational Championship. Lambton obtained a spot thanks to their consolation Alliance league championship last season.

The team wouldn't manage to get out of the round-robin play at the tournament and unfortunatley couldn't score a victory in any of their three contests.
Game 1 was as aggresive and hard-hitting affair against the Halton Hills Hurricanes which saw the Hurricanes come away with 4-0 victory over the Jr Sting. Despite a solid two periods of play, the Lambton team spent far too much time in the sin bin, giving up 3 shorthanded goals.
Game 2 saw the Jr Sting battle the Mid-Fairfield Blues who were the Conneticut representative in the tournament.  The intensity the team showed in the first game seemed to be lost in the second match, however the final score would be the same: a 4-0 victory for the Blues.
The final tournament game matched the Jr Sting against their highest ranked opponent, the Vaughan Jr Kings. After finally breaking their scoreless drought in the first period of the game the Lambton squad continued to battle hard, only to finally fall to the talented Vaughan team by a final score of 3-1. The lone Lambton goal came from Colin Leyten with assists to Isaac McLean and Brock Perry.  Jake Wilkins flew solo in goal all weekend and put out a strong effort to give his team a chance.
