Major Bantam 96, 2010-2011 (Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Hockey )

Our boys played outstanding against the number four ranked Elgin. After dropping behind 2-0 to Elgin they didn't quit and kept playing hard until they found themselves ahead 3-2 going into the third period were Elgin tied the game but the very next shift we responded with what turned out to be our game winner.

Over the last 8 games the 1996 Major Bantam team has gone 5-0-3. In the last five league play games this same group has gone 2-0-3 and has collected 7 points out of a possible 10 points.

Out of 15 teams in our division our boys advanced to the the semi final round of the tournament were they meet a very highly ranked Victory Honda hockey team and lost.

In the first weekend of our regular season we met up with Last years League Champions Huron Perth and another proverbial power house Sun County. We started with an great performance against Huron Perth which ended as a 2-2 draw. Goaltending and Team play was the reason for the success against a very strong Huron Perth team. On Sunday we met up with Sun County at home and battled hard all game long and nearly pulled off another tie after being down 2-0 it ended as a 2-1 loss to another strong 96 team. In our first tournament of the year our team made it to the championship game at the Golden Blade hockey tournament.
