The Sting ended their playoff run with a hard fought 2- 0 loss to the Huron Perth Lakers on Saturday . In a very tight checking game , the teams headed in to the third period tied 0-0 . Huron Perth broke the tie midway through the third on a goal mouth scramble . The boys never gave up  , but with 9 seconds remaining Huron Perth iced the game with an empty net goal . Anthony Hurtubise was outstanding in net to finish of a great season. Congratulations go out to Huron Perth for winning a great series , and to the Sting for having a great playoff run.

After a very uninspired effort in a 4-1 loss Friday , the Sting came back with a vengence Saturday at home. Riding the suberb goaltending from Kaden Fulcher , the Sting played with determination , grit , and a will to win at any cost. The game was a scoreless, tight checking game after two periods. Brock Perry broke the 0 - 0 game open with a terrific top shelve rebound shot from Alec Dekoning and Issac McLean .That was all the scoring the Sting would need . After a lackluster performance against Huron Perth on Saturday , the Sting came ready to play Sunday at the RBC. Coach Perry let his team know he didn't want any passengers for this game , and the team responded with a hard working team effort. After 5 scoreless periods the Sting were finally able to solve the Lakers goalie with a unassisted wrist shot from Bryron Monague-Ruzik in the third period . The Sting continued their impressive playoff run with a convincing 4-0 win over the Windsor Spitfires . The Sting were in control for much of the game , and when they needed a save Kaden Fulcher came up big in between the pipes . Scoring for the Sting were Jarret Marks with a pair, along with Ethan Dupont and Alec Dekoning .The assist were provided from Franco Sproviero with 2 , Alec Dekoning with 2 , Brock Perry , John Fazio , and Marks each chipped in with 1. The Sting now move on to the playoff championship against the winner of Sundays Huron Perth , Waterloo game

The Jr. Sting continued their playoff winning streak with a gritty 4-2 win over the London Knights thursday to go 3 -0 in round robin play .They clinched a berth in the playoff final against the Huron Perth Lakers  or the Waterloo Wolves . Scoring for the Sting were Colin Leyten, Brock Perry , Isaac McLean , and Alec Dekoning. Helping out with one assist each were Paul Sowinski , Ryan Greenaway , Byron Monague-Ruzik , Franco Sproviero , McLean , and Perry . The Sting will finish off the round robin against Windsor on Sunday in preperation for the Finals.
