Sting Advance to Finals
The Minor Bantams were at home Sunday afternoon looking to close out the semi finals with a victory in the round robin format. A win or a tie would send Lambton to the Playoff Finals and a loss meant Windsor would advance.
Standing in the way were the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs and they were not going to exit quietly.

The Sting took the early lead on a Jared Pageau goal with Matt Hunt and Bailey Smalls assisting.
With just under a minute remaining in the opening frame Jared Pageau would score unassisted to give Lambton a 2-0 lead.
The score would remain 2-0 thru 2 periods as neither team could bulge the twine in the middle frame.
It was a hard fought, quick paced game for the first two periods but the officiating decided to become the main attraction in the third as Lambton played most of the third short handed.
Elgin scored a PP goal midway thru the third while they were blessed with one of three 5 on 3 PP's in the third.
The Sting were brilliant on the kill for the most part then once again the officiating put Elgin on yet another 5 on 3 with just over two minutes to play. Lambton killed off the 5 on 3 but still had the 5 on 4 remaining when the linseman called Elgin for too many men which put the teams at even strength.
The Sting held off the Chief flurry and won this hard fought game by a final of 2-1.
Kyle Brinacombe was spectacular in net and was the Sting's best penalty killer on the day.
Bailey Smalls was once again in the Sting line up as the team was missing four of it's regulars, and once again played a very good game.
The boy's should be very proud of their play as they advanced beating two very strong teams and did it with hard work and determination.
The Sting have been playing at a very high level as they have won 10 of their past 11 games.
They now advance to play Hamilton from the East, which will be a very tough opponent.
