Alliance Playdown - Series #2 - Game #2 vs. London Jr. Knights Gold
The Jr. Sting hosted London on Rink 1 at the RBC Centre on Sunday afternoon hoping to get a win.
Lambton started slow and were down 2-0 by the mid-way point of the first period. The Jr. Sting found their legs in the second half of the period and began to change the momentum. Lambton controlled play in the second period and were able to halve the lead with Ryan Brown scoring on a nice break down the wing. The period ended with Lambton down a goal but they were right in the game. London scored early in the third to make it 3-1 but Lambton got a lucky one when a London player deflected shot from the point by defenseman Noah Myers to get back to within a goal and looked ready to tie it up. Unfortunately the Jr. Knights got one to make it 4-2 and then quickly added another and rounded out the scoring a minute later to make it a 6-2 final.
Lambton did not have their best game and will have to turn the page on this one and get ready for game three in London next Saturday.
Noah Myers and Ryan Brown each had one goal.
Jacob Williams had one assist.
