Alliance Playoffs - Series #2 - Game #4 @ Windsor Jr. Spitfires
The Jr. Sting traveled to Windsor on Friday night looking for the win to end the hard fought series against the Jr. Spitfire squad.

After a scoreless first period Daniel Wellington continued his fine play scoring on a solo effort. Wellington blocked a point shot with his head and then deftly deked out the Windsor D before going five-hole on a backhander. Windsor quickly tied it up and reminded the Jr. Sting that they were going to have to play a full three periods to win. After what appeared to either be a goal or at the minimum a penalty shot was denied, Josh Barraclough got the lead for Lambton tipping in a point shot by Cade Robbins after a nice face-off win by Jack Hackett. That goal seemed to get Lambton going and Daniel Wellington potted his second of the night, busted down the left side and putting it in “top shelf” on another solo effort.

Windsor applied pressure in the third and gave the fans in the stands some anxious moments but Ethan Hunt stood tall in the Lambton net until Brennan Mckegan iced the win, taking his time and skating the puck down to score into an open net late in the final period.

Lambton finished the series, winning 7 points to 1 and look forward to the Alliance League Playoff Championship series. It is looking like a rematch of last year’s finals with Kitchener.

Daniel Wellington had two goals and was dangerous every time he touched the puck.

Brennan Mckegan and Josh Barraclough each had a goal.

Cade Robbins, Jack Hackett and Ryan Brown all had assists.

Noah Myers had his best game since returning from injury, great job Noah.

Congrats to the all the boys for winning another series and moving on.
