Alliance Playdowns Game #1 @ London Jr. Knights
Lambton was on the road Thursday night to start the Alliance Playdowns against the firstt place London Jr. Knights. Lambton was going to need a big effort from everyone to upset the highly rated Jr. Knights

The game got off to a tentative start with both teams not wanting to make a mistake. No scoring, and very few good chances existed until a Jr. Knight got a pass with speed in the neutral zone and busted through the defense to score on a breakaway to make it 1-0. The score remained 1-0 until the ten minute mark of the second period when a Jr. Sting turnover resulted in a London player being all alone in front and scoring to make it 2-0. Lambton was spending most of the time in their own zone and needed a spark to get going. Ethan Hunt made a number of big saves and was keeping the Jr. Sting within striking distance. Lambton almost got on the board when AP Nolan Farr slid a shot through the legs of the London goalie but the puck came out the other side and went harmlessly into the corner.
After two periods it was a 2-0 game for London but Lambton was starting to show some signs of life and with 6:22 to go in the third period Ryan Gould jammed in a Jared Pageau rebound to make it 2-1.The Jr. Sting picked up the pace and at the one minute mark pulled their goalie in hopes of getting the equalizer but after losing control of the puck in the London zone, a Jr. Knight player was allowed to skate down the ice and put in the empty netter to seal a 3-1 victory.

Ethan Hunt played very well in the Lambton net and game the Jr. Sting a chance when they were badly outplayed.
Ryan Gould scored the only goal with an assist going to Jared Pageau.

The Jr. Sting are happy to have Conner Royer back in the line up.
