Alliance Playdowns Game #2 vs London Jr. Knights
Lambton was at home on Saturday for game two hoping to rebound with a win in their own building.
The Jr. Sting scored first with Jared Pageau lighting the lamp and Lambton looked to have a lot of jump in their step. The referees awarded the Jr. Knights a power play shortly after the Jr. Sting goal and then a second player was sent to the sin bin for Lambton giving London a 5 on 3 power play. The Jr. Knights would take advantage and evened it up late in the first to end the period 1-1. London scored again to make it 2-1 and now Lambton was back on their heels. London scored twice more to make it 4-1 and Lambton made a goalie change to attempt to change the momentum. The Jr. Sting were able to score, with Conner Royer jamming one in as he followed up on a Jared Pageau rush, making it 4-2. The comeback was short lived as London scored only twelve seconds later to make it 5-2. London would add two more at 6:58 and 6:43 to make it 7-2. That would be how the second period and the game would end.
Lambton is now down two games to none and faces an uphill battle to get back into the series.
Jared Pageau had a goal and an assist.
Conner Royer had a goal.
