Sting Break Losing Streak At Home
The Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Minor Atoms were on the road in London on Saturday.
Despite the strong play of Adam Mino in net and gritty play from the team, London defeated the Sting
4 -1. Will O’Leary-Dilosa scored the
only Sting goal for the night.
Playing
on home ice on Sunday against the Kitchener Jr. Rangers, the Sting pulled off a
4-2 win to end their recent losing streak.
The Rangers opened the scoring quickly in the first period but 20 seconds later Evan Wammes scored to tie the game with an assist from Ethan Kerby. The Sting took the lead with an unassisted goal by Will O’Leary-Dilosa. Tyler Steeves scored the eventual game winning goal from Will O’Leary Dilosa as Kitchener found the net for a second time. Blake Butler scored a goal on a pass from Ethan Kerby in the third period to secure the win. Ethan Langford again had a strong performance in net for the Sting.
