Major Atoms Winless Over the Weekend
The Major Atoms came out strong on Friday night against the London Jr. Knights, looking for a win. The boys played two very strong periods, holding the Knights to only two goals. Unfortunately, the flood gates opened in the third period and London scored 5 unanswered goals to take the Jr. Sting 7-0.
On Sunday, the Jr. Sting faced off against Hamilton at the RBC. Hamilton opened the scoring in the first period on a power play goal. The Jr. Sting responded 6 minutes later on a goal by Tyler Steeves, assisted by Kaleb Edlington to tie up the score. Hamilton notched 2 goals in the second and added one in the third to skate to a 4-1 win. The Major Atoms next meet up with Huron Perth on Sunday, October 21st.
