One away - one home game for the Minor Peewee
The Minor Peewees faced the Windsor Spitfires at the Central Park Athletics Pad.


The Peewees faced a hard game on Friday night playing with 3 men down. The end of the first brings a score of 3-0 to the Spitfires. The Lambton boys try hard in the second keeping Windsor from scoring another until the last minute of play. They enter the final period 4-0 down. Period three sees the Sting playing well and Josh McLean scores Lambtons only goal of the game assisted by Matt McIntyre and Ryleigh Vanderwal, this writer stopped counting shots on Luc Thorne-Smith after 50 and the Sting take the loss 5-1.

On Saturday the boys face the Brantford 99er's at home. After a disappointing loss the day before the Sting come on the ice fuelled up and ready to battle. The 99er's take shots on the Lambton net but are turned away by Thorne-Smith and then with a few seconds left of play in period 1, Ryleigh Vanderwal scores the first of the game unassisted taking us into the lead 1-0. Brantford fight hard in the second period keeping the puck in the Sting end and with just 56 seconds left they score moving us into the final period tied up 1-1. Both sides play hard for the win in the third but Dylan Riddell assisted by Nolan DeGurse and Kyle Kachan score on their power play taking the Sting into the lead 2-1. The 99er's pull their goalie for a final attempt on the Lambton net but can't shoot one past Thorne-Smith and after a well played game and 29 shots on their net, the Sting take the win 2-1.

Next weekend the Minor Peewee face the London Knights and the Cambridge Hawks.
