The Minor Peewees faced the London Knights at home this Saturday.

The Minor Peewees faced the London Knights at home on Saturday. The game went through to the final period without seeing a goal from the Sting until Logan Gardner scored unassisted stopping the Knights' shut-out hopes. The Lambton boys couldn't break Londons' defences and with only 6 shots on the Knights net versus 36 on Sting goal tender Luc Thorne-Smith the game ends with a 7-1 defeat for Lambton.

The next day took the Peewees to Cambridge to face the Cambridge Hawks. The Sting boys went on the attack as soon as the puck dropped, and the Hawks retaliated almost immediately. Lambton take a penalty but the Sting defence play solidly and keep the puck well away from their net. The first period sees several more power plays and with 38 seconds remaining Josh McLean scores the first of the game assisted by Carson Perry taking Lambton into the lead 1-0.
The second period sees more tough play by both teams and the second goal for the Sting scored by Nolan DeGurse assisted by Dylan Riddell gives Lambton a 2-0 lead. More power play opportunities for the Hawks and they score their first of the game. Shortly after Nolan DeGurse scores assisted by Dylan Riddell taking the score to 3-1. Cambridge take another power play but all efforts to score are turned away by great saves from Thorne-Smith. Then after several failed attempts the hawks take the score to 3-2.
The third period sees more penalties and more attacks on the sting net. Great team play chases the Hawks away. With just over a minute of play left Cambridge pull their goalie and pressure the Sting net, Thorne-Smith refuses to allow them to score an equalizer and then Carson Perry grabs the puck and shoots on the empty net scoring the 4th and final Lambton goal of the game. With a total of 43 shots to their net, the Sting take the win 4-2.

Next weekend the Peewees host two home games vs Elgin Middlesex and Windsor Spitfires.
