The Lambton Jr.
Sting Minor Peewee’s finished the Tournament Season with an impressive 3-2 win
to bring home their first tournament win at the Great Lakes Cup hosted by
Huron-Perth going 4-2-0.
All did not
start well for the Jr. Sting as they began the tournament against the Guelph
Gryphon’s with a 4-1 loss. Poor
defensive play and a lack of commitment to team play cost the Sting.
Friday night saw the Sting come out strong
against tournament host Huron-Perth Laker.
Unable to buy a goal early and falling behind the Sting were forced to
open up their game but would eventually fall 6-0.With
a new day came a newer more prepared team, ready to play with
conviction and discipline.
