Lambton PeeWees Behind 2 Games to 1 in First Round of Playdowns
Submitted By rdunn on Thursday, February 10, 2011
The Jr Sting PeeWee's have fallen behind the Windsor Jr Spitfires in their first round of the Alliance Pavilion Playdowns. All victories in the series have come to the visiting team and the Jr Sting hope to continue the trend when they travel to Windsor for the fourth game in the series.

Game one in the series was held at the RBC Centre with the Spits coming away with a 4-1 victory. After a strong first period by the Jr Sting that ended with no score the visitors from Windsor took over and carried the play en route to their victory. The lone Lambton goal was scored by Brock Perry, assisted by Franco Sproviero.

Game two in Windsor was a more intense contest with aggressive play by both teams that saw the Jr Sting come away with a hard-fought 3-2 victory. Scoring in the victory was provided by Alec Dekoning with two and a single to Patrick Wright. Assists were earned by Perry with two and Isaac Mclean and Sproviero with one each. Kaden Fulcher got the start and was solid to secure the series tying victory.

The important game three was once again held at rink 2 of the RBC Centre and despite a fairly even level of play by the two teams, the Jr Spits came away with a decisive 5-1 victory to hold a 2-1 series lead. Lambton's lone goal was scored by McLean, assisted by Perry and Sproviero late in the third period. The Lambton players will look to put out their best effort of the series in game 4 in Windsor and bring the series back to the RBC centre on Sunday afternoon for the deciding game.
