Major Bantam's Lose in Championship Game
In our first tournament of the year our team made it to the championship game at the Golden Blade hockey tournament.
We had big performances from many players throughout the weekend however the overall teams commitment to defense was the reason we found ourselves competing on the last day in the last game of the tournament. On the final day we held the lead twice in the first period however a penalty filled second resulted in three power play goals and one regular strength goal by Compuware. I'm sure for the boys it was a disappointing end to a solid weekend of hockey, however from the coaches point of view we have allot work yet to be done to get this team into tip top shape and this is a great start to what should be a much improved hockey team. I'm sure this is just the beginning of what will turn out to be a surprising transformation from a non competitive team to a good hockey team.
