2 Exhibition games Victory Honda and Chatham
The Lambton Major Bantams were introduced to the exhibition schedule last week and visited Victory Honda and then returned to host the Chatham AAA club 2 nights later.
Although the Sting came away with a couple ties, these games were a good indication of our strengths and our weaknesses.
A strong performance in goal by Kyle and Ethan salvaged our tie on the road especially in the 2nd period where the sting were outshot 22-6. It seamed that the team started to gain some confidence from the goaltenders performance and took control of the 3rd. The defence were starting to understand our fwds as our pass completion was steadily improving.
The Sting had control of the Chatham team but could not contain the speed in the neutral zone as they gave up many odd man rushes including a breakaway with just a couple minutes on the clock. Practice resumes next Tuesday were we will focus on improving for our first game which is scheduled September 14th vs The Chatham Cyclones
