Major Peewee '05, 2017-2018 (Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Hockey )

The '05 Lambton Sting Major "AAA" Major Pee Wees travelled to the Windy City and captured the 2017 CCM World Invite. A total of 40 teams competed in the '05 AAA division and the Sting went a perfect 7 wins and 0 loses to capture the tournament. Down 3-0 in the Championship game the Sting scored 6 unanswered goals for the victory over the Chicago Blues.

The ’05 Lambton Jr. Sting “AAA” Major Pee Wee’s travelled to Rochester NY and won the Monarch AAA Battle Royale Tournament, going a perfect 6 wins and 0 losses.  The tournament featured 12 Major Pee AAA teams from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Ontario.  The Sting were 5- 0 in round robin play earning them a spot in the Championship game vs Brantford. see players reaction by clicking here

I hope everyone is enjoying time away from the rink and the nice weather.  I have purposely kept the emails and communication to a minimum.  I truly believe everyone and more importantly players need time away from the rink.  Wayne Gretzky is probably the biggest proponent of telling kids to stay off the ice in the summer and play other sports.  The cross-functional skills an athlete picks up playing other sports outweighs the benefits of being on the ice 12 months a year and helps with burnout.   That being said the players are at an age whereby they need to continue to work off-ice to be ...

I would like to personally thank all the players who showed an interest in playing for the 2017-18 Lambton Jr. Sting Major Peewee’s.   Unfortunately we have to get down to the 17 players who will make up the team.  The decisions were very tough, as I personally  have a great deal of respect and admiration for a lot of the released players.  For those not selected, please remember, it’s not the end of the world.  Many OHL and NHL players did not make their team in Peewee, but continued to work hard, and went on to great hockey careers.
