Tough Weekend

Last weekend the Sting played in Chatham on Saturday and were home to the London Knights Gold on Sunday.  Unfortunately, they lost both games, the first 2-1 and the other 5-1.
The Chatham game was a very close contest with the Sting controlling most of the 1st two periods and Chatham controlling the 3rd, including the game winning goal in the last second of the period.  Nolan Farr scored the only goal unassisted.

The home game was against the league leading London Knights Gold.  The boys played well but London turned out to be too strong, winning 5-1.  Nolan Farr again scored, with the assist going to Cameron Rombouts.

Gretzky Tournament is up next this weekend.

    Series With Chatham Tied at One Game Each
    Lambton Minor Atoms have started there playoffs against the Chatham/Kent Cyclones in a 6 point series.  They have played 2 games thus far, winning the first 5-2 and were edged out 1-0 in the second game.

    Sting Split a Home and Away Series with the Chiefs
    The Minor Atoms last 2 games were a home and away series with the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs.  The boys were edged 4-3 in a heartbreaker in the home game but 1 week later avenged the loss with a convincing 4-1 victory.
